Fully BAL Compliant Over Fascia Vent Now Available in Australia!

We’re pleased to announce that the G750N BAL Compliant Over-Fascia Vent is now available in Australia!

The G750N is engineered to support bushfire compliance while maintaining airflow at the roof edge. It will achieve BAL compliance up to BAL19 without the application of BAL mesh, and BAL zones up to BAL29 with a compliant ember guard mesh (Note: Mesh must have an aperture of no more than 2mm).

What is the G750N?

An over fascia vent that facilitates airflow into the roof space between the roof membrane and fascia board. It offers a practical, cost-efficient, and discreet way to ventilate eaves, with easy installation and compatibility with timber and metal fascias.

Beyond Compliant

  • Exceeds National Construction Code 2022 Vol 1: F8D5 and ABCB Housing Provisions Standard 10.8.3
  • Meets Deemed-to-Satisfy requirements
  • Tested to AS1530.3: Spread of flame index 4, Smoke developed index 5

Where it Applies

  • Compatible with tile and metal roofs
  • Suitable for new construction, re-roofing, and retrofitting
  • Application depends on roof pitch and design – speak to one of our team for expert advice.
  • For cathedral roof designs where larger intake is required, use our 25 mm Over Fascia Vent – G2500N or BMG2500N

Product features

  • Only 9 mm in height at the contact point with the roof
  • Apertures under 2 mm
  • No fascia height adjustments required
  • Airflow rate of 7,500 mm² per linear metre
  • Free open area above NCC requirements of 7,500 mm² per lm
  • Redundancy for blockages
  • Average calculations are easier to achieve NCC
  • Free open area does not reduce with the application of BAL mesh for BAL compliance up to BAL29
  • Cost effective
  • Load bearing: designed for tiles and compatible with metal

System use

The G750N can be used independently or alongside other VENT Systems components to form a continuous passive ventilation path from intake to exhaust.

For BAL areas above BAL19, fit the G750N with an ember guard made from non-combustible, corrosion-resistant metal mesh such as steel, bronze, or aluminium. The mesh must comply with AS3959:2018 Clause 3.6, with a maximum aperture of 2 mm.

Important note

VENT Systems specialises in passive ventilation and internal moisture management. Guidance regarding the G750N and any ember guard should be considered with the latest AS3959, the National Construction Code, and local regulations. Engage building certifiers, fire engineers, or bushfire consultants to confirm compliance for specific projects.
