BV10 BAL Vent
The VENT Systems BAL Vent 10mm is specifically designed for the Australian market to comply with National Construction Code 2022 Vol 1: F8D5/ABCB Housing Provisions Standard 10.8.3. and Clause 3.6 of AS3959:2018, meeting BAL compliance up to BAL29. Engineered to expel air from the roof void using natural convection, as warmer air rises, or through negative pressure generated by wind passing over the roof. Featuring an adhesive and aluminium flashing, the BV10 will adhere to timber roof battens, Metal top hat purlins, and any sarking type effectively preventing water ingress, creating a BAL defence at the point where the sarking is terminated and ensuring calculated airflow. It’s designed specifically for use with Metal roof types, where high-level ventilation of 5,000mm²/lm is required.
The BV10 operates year-round without requiring any moving parts or energy consumption. Serving as a discreet alternative to traditional rotary-driven (whirlybird) vents, the BV10 doesn’t necessitate roof cladding penetration and is concealed under the roof cladding.
It’s strongly recommended to incorporate high-level vents with some form of Over Fascia or Eaves ventilation for optimal performance.
